Pennsylvania’s 18th Congressional District

Pennsylvania’s 18th Congressional District includes all of the City of Pittsburgh, the outlying suburbs, and parts of the Mon Valley area. The district is a safe Democratic district — it will never be won by a Republican. That means the representative from this district can be a bold leader and use the seat as a bully pulpit to fight for progressive causes.

The City of Pittsburgh is one of the least livable places for African Americans in the United States. The Pittsburgh region also has some of the worst air quality anywhere in the country. After decades of the same representation in Congress, it’s time for new leadership.
